anxiety and stress

Stress can often push us to achieve important tasks, but too much can have a devastating impact on our health and personal lives. It can lead to headaches, stomach upsets, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, as well as being a contributing factor to the break down of relationships at work and at home.

Anxiety is a normal and functional response to stress.  But if we allow too much into our lives it can become a debilitating disorder.  It can bring about physical reactions such as heart palpitations, increased heart rate and blood pressure,  nausea, chest pains, shortness of breath, stomach upset and headaches.  In addition, there are external features to deal with such as pale skin, sweating and trembling as our fight or flight response kicks in.

As recommended by the British Medical Journal we use applied relaxation techniques as well as methods taken from Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, reinforcing these with coaching and hypnosis. We give people the impetus to change their lives and move them in the right direction.
